“Que Sera, Sera” (Whatever Will Be, Will Be) – Doris Day Signature Song.
Borrowing a leaf from the Song above. I have to often remind myself [the mother] that no mater what I do or say; Whatever Will Be, Will Be.
According to the Song the “future is not ours to see” or determine; we are just to do our bit and leave the rest to God.
The reality of our lives is that we mothers [men too] often worry, stress and over work ourselves in our daily struggles to achieve certain goals – we actually try to be Superwomen all the time.
BUT [“A big but”] life often plays tricks on us as things often pan out in the way fate desires not exactly as we planned.
So here I am reminding my self to tarry a while and let things be; “Que Sera, Sera”
I am so! so! guilty as I often do so many things at the same time and worry about achieving my unrealistic goals; but I am making a resolve today to take a breather and set realistic goals, do my bit and then let things be.
The truth is that when you have so many things on the “burner”, some would definitely get burnt – you can only ever cook so much…..eh.
Methinks we mothers should learn to set realistic achievable goals, do our best to achieve them and not punish ourselves we we fail short of our goals; because though they are our goals fate plays a big hand in determining you future.
A major eye opener is that “worrying never did change anything”; so if you fail now try and try again and see what happens.
More often that not if we try hard enough we would achieve some measure of our goals [which truthfully are often unrealistic]
Fellow woman do you often stress over things you cannot change? Or set unrealistic goals? I do!
